Bayleys signed as new sponsorship partner for Warriors

It’s “game on” this year in more ways than one, with Bayleys Real Estate Auckland becoming the newest member of the One New Zealand Warriors’ sponsorship team.

Signed as the club’s official real estate partner for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Bayleys Real Estate Auckland is tangibly extending its commitment to building strong relationships with the community.

The partnership will see the club’s flagship hospitality venue in the East Stand at Go Media Stadium Mt Smart renamed the Bayleys Club Lounge, offering a vibrant game day experience catering for more than 600 people.

Bayleys Real Estate Auckland chief executive officer, Lloyd Budd says the firm is “stoked” to be aligning itself with the Warriors and sees it as a multi-layered partnership with great synergy between the two organisations.

“Real estate is far more than simply transacting bricks and mortar,” says Budd. “Bayleys recognises that people and relationships are fundamental to having a respected and market-leading business and loyal clients are at the heart of this.

“Loyalty is also central to the Warriors and we’re blown away by the support and unwavering commitment of its fan base both on the sidelines and at home, and super impressed by the innovation and tenacity of the management and coaching teams.

“In aligning our agency business with a sports team founded on the same core principles of family ownership and values, a high-performance culture, and dedication to training, learning and mentoring, Bayleys looks forward to a win-win partnership with the Warriors.”

Budd says Bayleys’ personnel have stuck with the Warriors through thick and thin – “even when it was a hard watch” – and striving to be better year-on-year is just as applicable to real estate as it is to top level sport.

“This is the Warriors 30th season, and last year Bayleys marked 50 years in the real estate business so longevity and determination defines both teams.

“We’ve been on the sidelines at the games with our kids, we saw how last year’s success on the field generated even more fans and bolstered their huge social audience, and now we want to take our business clients along for the Warriors ride. “The Bayleys team will integrate into the Warriors’ community, we’ll host clients at Go Media Stadium, we’ll make use of the facilities for corporate and internal team functions, and tap into players and coaches for customer events.”

Chief executive officer for the Warriors, Cameron George says 2023 was the year the team reconnected with its fan base and reignited corporate support.

“We focused on building an experience for our fans and getting the ground filled on game days.

“Our strategic corporate sponsorship partnership with Bayleys and our other brand partners will take the Warriors and the game even further this year.

“Winning breeds belief in who we are, what we stand for, and what we are capable of and having Bayleys onboard as a corporate partner is exciting for us as a business.” George says there are great parallels between Bayleys and the Warriors – “they’re both Kiwi success stories founded on innovation, perseverance and community relationships.

“We look forward to working with the high-performance Bayleys’ team in the years ahead with its unparalleled reach across the whole of New Zealand and its priority on connection with people.”

Bayleys Real Estate Auckland covers all market sectors and received the REINZ Medium Agency of the Year award in 2022 and 2023.

The One New Zealand Warriors play their Round One game of the 2024 season at Go Media Stadium Mt Smart on Friday 8th March.
