Theresa strives for continued growth and achievement – both personally and professionally. With the unique skills for helping expats and those returning home after a long hiatus, Theresa’s down-to-earth personality fosters relationships. This is a key part of her approach to achieving outstanding real estate service and results for her clients.
With a diverse background, Theresa had a unique childhood growing up in Guam before attending School and university in the UK. After gaining her degree of BSc in Maritime Business and Law from the UK, she moved to New York working in insurance and in ship operations and logistics. Over these 13 years, she met her husband and had her two children whilst in New York. The opportunity arose for the family to move to Stockholm, Sweden, where she enjoyed the Scandinavian culture and even took Swedish lessons over three years. In 2016, Theresa and her family moved to New Zealand, where she has since called Auckland her home.
Here, she set up her own project management and consulting company, handling a variety of portfolios spanning R&D, private developments in Queenstown and back-office support for a private Fijian resort.
After living in five countries, these life experiences have made Theresa adaptable, curious, and open to new opportunities, no matter how challenging they might be.
Theresa is aware of the emotional nature of property transactions, having been a Vendor and a Purchaser, herself. She knows the value of always maintaining a clear prospective and working to achieve the client’s end game objective.
Outside of work Theresa keeps ties with her Maritime industry roots and belongs to WISTA - Women’s International Shipping and Transport Association.
Her children and husband are keen sailors, and Theresa is a great supporter from the shore.
She also loves travelling, dabbles in sewing projects, and enjoys the theatre, the ballet and music concerts. Theresa can often be found walking the family dog, Chester, a Black Russian Terrier, at local parks and beaches. If you see her around, feel free to stop her for a chat or give her a call today!
