Peta Laery has been working in New Zealand commercial and industrial real estate since 2002, starting out as the first female salesperson in Bayleys’ South Auckland commercial office. Since then she has worked with three of the country’s major commercial agencies and completed well over $300 million in sales and leasing transactions across retail, office and industrial property.

Her clients include private investors, high-net-worth families and corporates. Having worked on both sides of the table, Peta understands what buyers and tenants are looking for as well as what vendors and landlords need. She keeps a close eye on council, legislative and economic changes so her advice stays current, and she keeps track of the details so the whole process feels a lot less stressful for her clients.

Outside of the deals, Peta cares about seeing young people, especially young women, succeed in property, and she enjoys mentoring them. She has been involved with Big Sister, The King’s Trust and the Kristin School Friends and Family network, and in 2022 she was a finalist in the Property Council’s Woman in Property award. When she’s not at work you’ll find her skiing, biking or hiking. She also spends her holidays working as an expedition guide on small cruise ships in the polar regions, so she always has a story to share over a good coffee or beer.
